We want to encourage, equip, and empower foster and adoptive parents as individuals, as couples, and as a community.
Together Called is one way we do that. It’s not a large scale conference. In fact, it’s intentionally capped at just over 100 couples. We design it to be an opportunity for husbands and wives to experience rest and connection with each other, with kindred others, and with the One who called them together from the start.
Our team is busy preparing for our 12th Together Called retreat the weekend of March 20th-March 22nd, 2026 at the beautiful Bear Creek Mountain Resort nestled on 330 acres in Berks County, Pennsylvania (approximately 90 minutes from the Philadelphia Airport and 35 minutes from Lehigh Valley International Airport).
Our keynote speaker Ben and his wife Adriana Willey are “neighbors” of ours in nearby New Jersey where they both live lives as servant leaders. Ben is the Teaching and Counseling Pastor at Fellowship Community Church in Mt. Laurel, and Adriana is a therapist at Evergreen Counseling Network, specializing in attachment and developmental trauma. Their family of six has been formed through adoption and biology and holds a beautiful combination of racial and national identities. Adriana was adopted herself from Medellin, Colombia at nearly 2 years old and has spent the majority of her adult life making sense of the losses that come with transplanting family and home. Ben has his own familiarity with suffering. He has struggled with depression and anxiety connected to his decades long journey with obsessive compulsive disorder. In 2023, he published a book on emotional and psychological struggle called Even Here as a testimony to God’s presence in the dark. Ben has a heart for those who want to see the beauty and the sorrow of life, without cancelling either of them out. Adriana’s passion is parenting and the intersection of attachment and spiritual formation. Together, they are deeply fond of conversation and the privilege of sitting with people at the intersection of Jesus and everyday life. We can’t wait to learn from each of them, sit long at tables with them, and link arms with them to serve foster + adoptive couples at Together Called 2026.
We opened registration in October, and all but a few spots filled within the first 24 hours with couples from 15 different states. There are only a few open spots at this point. We’d love for you to grab one now–we’d love to care for you there.
A full registration includes a two-night resort stay; Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two; Sunday breakfast for two; and all the programming for $730. An abbreviated registration includes a Friday-night resort stay only; Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two; and all the programming for $550. We also offer a very limited number of day-only registrations for local families who cannot get away for an overnight. These registrations include Saturday lunch and dinner for two and all the programming for $365.
